IIn order to distribute a bundle of fiber optics in plexiglas and allow them to unwind three-dimensionally in a double spiral, I utilized a contoured, flexible and thin sheet of polycarbonate. I folded it along a curved tube of aluminum that worked to sustain it. In this way, one has the impression of seeing the continuous movement of light.
